Summary

Rayman: Hoodlum's Revenge is an outstanding game for the GBA. With a new style of GameBoy Rayman (instead of just on the wall you can move down and up and jump). The controls are as simple as the game. But you also have a map. Press start and you'll have a map but only for some levels. What's going on is that after Rayman 3 or Hoodlum Havoc, you'll see Rayman's hands scaring Andre. He's back, he took Globox to the Bog Of Murk and locked him up. He escapes and Rayman finds him (you get to do both of them) and now they have realised that Andre is using plum juice to clone the body of Reflux (he got turned into ice and broke). You go through lots of things (the map comes in handy because it shows teensies, runes, the exit and where you are) and puzzles trying to stop Andre. You might remember Begoniax, who is the first boss here and pretty much does the same thing, except that you run around an arena instead of a large cauldron. Each level has it's own calculation table. You will be calculated by score, lums and teensies and you can unlock stuff if you get a good enough score/lums/teensies. You are also going to get Murphy Stamps if your score is great! This game is a success to the GBA and will be a perfect game to anyone who likes challenges!

See, this is why I don't read 'books'.

Summary

Pros: It's a role-playing game on your cell phone; it's quite a lengthy game, especially when you consider the platform it's on; save anywhere feature is nice and extremely helpful and necessary; the visuals are decent and quite colorful; some people may find this game quite challenging and fun.

Cons: Takes forever and a day to really get in to; apparently the developers thought it would be fun to walk through boring dungeons, fighting monsters with horrible, mindless, no skill combat; you can only carry ONE health potion at a time, for some inexplicable reason; NOTHING about this game is exciting in any way; the combat is extremely boring (usually entailing you just running into some monster with your sword on auto-swing); the overall gameplay in a snore; there are no item or weapon descriptions or stats while you are buying these items in a store (so essentially you have no idea what you are buying until AFTER you buy it), which is insanely annoying.
